South Melbourne DesignFest 2025 has officially concluded - and it delivered an inspiring, high-energy showcase of product design and innovation. Schweigen was proud to stand alongside 13 other leading brands in the Open House Showcase, presenting the very best in contemporary design, craftsmanship and innovation.
Quiet Luxury, Intelligent Performance
Guests were given an exclusive look atthe Schweigen Design rangehood collection - our most advanced catalogue of rangehoods to date. The presentation demonstrated how gesture-control technology, intuitive usability and quiet air extraction combine to enhance modern kitchen living. From sculptural canopies to premium finishes and whisper-quiet operation, the collection demonstrated how ventilation can evolve from a necessity into a defining design element.
A Dynamic Design District
Set within the South Melbourne Design District - one of Australia’s most vibrant hubs for architecture and interiors - this year’s event was surrounded by a rich ecosystem of showrooms, studios and experience centres. The district’s focus on luxury appliances, bespoke cabinetry, cutting-edge materials and high-end bathroom and kitchen solutions makes it a destination for architects,designers, developers and homeowners seeking inspiration. It was the ideal setting for a celebration of design excellence.
An Evening of Connection & Creativity
The turnout exceeded expectations, andwe were delighted to host architects, designers and industry professionals throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed live demonstrations, valuable product insights and lively conversation in a showroom buzzing with energy.
Signature cocktails, great food and hands-on demonstrations of the Schweigen Design rangehood collection created an engaging and immersive experience. Visitors had the opportunity to see and appreciate the difference our silent air extraction technology brings to modern kitchen spaces. Our team was proud to share expertise, answer questions and connect with both familiar faces and new industry friends.
